Beverly Hills area of Los Angeles, CA
Duration: 6 months contract (3-6 month contract to hire)
Must be onsite 2 days per week and can be remote the other 3 working days
(from day 1)
Healthcare Industry experience would be strongly preferred
This position will be focused on collaborating with a healthcare company and
performing a broad variety of technical engineering support, design,
architecture for monitoring and managing the Health Systems data infrastructure
Summary of Essential Job Duties:
- Leads the technical engineering
planning, design and architecture for monitoring and managing a global
healthcare network, security and wireless infrastructure.
- Create and maintain
documentation, maintain hardware and software standards, and evaluate new
products and solutions related to business requirements.
- Develop and modify technology
networks, addressing functional, performance, security, quality,
operations and monitoring needs in an efficient and productive manner.
- Participates in the evaluation
of new applications for the Health System, determines their effect on the
existing network and systems infrastructure and perimeter; recommends and
may oversee any necessary operational or security enhancements.
- Works jointly with user project
managers and other IT groups to successfully implement projects.
- Extensive knowledge in
planning, designing, and documenting networks with 10,000+ users with
large domains and deployments.
- Experience with selection and
strategic direction of network and security technologies and
architecture-perform concept and testing to network security design and
solutions, vulnerability and penetration testing, and threat mitigation.
- A packet level expertise in
network traffic analysis to identify source of problems.
- Strong understanding of
technologies related to NAT/PAT, MPLS, QoS, BGP, OSPF, VRF's, and Traffic
- Experience with Network Access
Control and other perimeter security technologies.
- Knowledge of Network Access
Control, Firewalls, IPS, Site to Site VPN, IPSec, Encryption,
Micro-segmentation and other security related technologies.
- Understanding of F5/NetScaler
load balancing products.
- Knowledge of wireless
- Strong project management and
interpersonal skills; ability to deal effectively with diverse skill sets
and personalities, provide strong team leadership, and work effectively as
a team player.
- Expertise in network
monitoring, analysis, management, and configuration tools or expertise
with server/systems monitoring and management tools.
- Competent with mainstream
office automation, project management, and communications tools.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements
and best practices such as Health Insurance Portability and Accountability
Act of 1996 and California State Bill No. 1386.
- Bachelor’s Degree in an IT or
engineering discipline or equivalent combination of education and work
- Cisco Certified
Network Professional (CCNP) and Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)
or equivalent Security certification, preferred.
