Sr. PM

Title: Sr. Project Manager
Location: Denver Area
Duration: 10 months

The Senior Project Manager will provide effective project oversight to affect program success and serve as a mentor to vendor project managers on program issues.  Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of the project including leading, planning, monitoring, motivating, and communicating with project teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality while establishing deadlines in delivering technology and business process.   Accountable for meeting agreed upon scope, cost, schedule and quality measures. Must have SAP Successfactors experience.

The Project Manager will represent company in providing the following services to the project:


  • Responsible for planning, leading, organizing, and motivating project team members (internal and external) to achieve a high level of performance and quality in delivering the project in order to deliver the intended business value.
  • Manage the Technical Design, Planning and Execution stages of the project, including but not limited to, generating and maintaining all appropriate project management documentation in accordance with company standards and practices, and representing the project at defined reviews as needed.
  • Support the development of project deliverables and manage project team communications
  • Work with Investment Manager and IT Engagement Manager to develop funding requests and estimates
  • Develop the overall project schedule working closely with the business function, IT, and 3rd party providers to assure solid estimates, dependencies and resource assignments.
  • Assists teams in defining team tasks, assumptions, deliverables, dependencies, time and resources estimates for the overall schedule.
  • Owns project schedule maintenance and accuracy.
  • Ensures adherence to methodology including stage gates and necessary reviews.
  • Manages core project management processes (scope, cost, schedule, resource, communications, quality, risk and procurement) conforming to approved PMO governance practices.
  • Responsible for accuracy of project financial forecasts and accruals
  • Prepare overall project status report with input from team in conformance with PMO requirements for Monthly status reporting.
  • Conducts and documents formal review at the completion of each stage or realization of major milestone as defined in the project charter.
  • Plan, organize, integrate, measure and control project tasks to fulfill delivery requirements regarding cost, performance and schedule.
  • Develop, generate and update integrated project plans and schedules using MS Project
  • Execute against 3rd party vendor contracts
  • Acts as primary point of contact with Investment Manager for all matters relating to the project.
  • Responsible for ensuring all deliverables associated with 3rd party vendors contracts are delivered and quality checked.
  • Financial management for the project:
    • Monitor and track project budgets for financial management reporting to the Investment manager, Steering Committee and the PMO
    • Perform project financial management activities including setting up the project financial workbook, validating project team members time sheets, providing informal approval of invoices, determining and submitting monthly accruals, recording actuals, maintaining the forecast and monthly reporting.
  • Maintain and administer the project SharePoint site
  • Perform issue management risk management processes for the project, drive issue resolution at all levels and escalate as necessary
  • Prepare required reports, briefings, presentations, and summaries detailing project activities, status, outlook, etc.




  • Have knowledge and experience of project management principles and practices to fit the needs of the Employee Central project in alignment with the requirements of the IT PMO
  • Works cooperatively with IT, Business functions, and multiple 3rd party providers to achieve common objectives.
  • Must lead by example and be a proactive agent of change, and have conflict resolution and risk management experience
  • Great communication and presentation skills
  • A demonstrated passion for customer service
  • Preferred previous experience with implementing SuccessFactors Employee Central and/ or other Human Capital applications
  • Experience managing cloud software implementations
